Notepad++ là môt phần mềm soạn thảo mã nguồn hoàn toàn miễn phí chạy trên môi trường Micrsoft Windows, hỗ trợ phần lớn các ngôn ngữ lập trình thông dụng hiện tại như:C, C++, Java, C#, XML, HTML, PHP, Javascript... và rất nhiều ngôn ngữ lập trình khác.

Phần mềm này được viết trên ngôn ngữ C++, trong đó hoàn toàn dựa trên nền tảng Win32 API và STL ( công nghệ tối ưu mã nguồn ). Đây là một phần mềm soạn thảo rất mạnh và đặc biệt quan trọng là nó hoàn toàn miễn phí.

Notepad++ is a free source editor with the syntax highlighting and syntax folding. It also gives the extra functionality to define a user's own language for the syntax folding and syntax highlighting. You can print your source code in color. It allows a user to edit the different document in the same time, and even to edit the same document synchronizely in 2 different views. It supports full drag and drop.

20. New feature : new plugin notification NPPN_DOCORDERCHANGED to notify plugins that document order is changed.
21. Bug fixed : tool bar chevron disappeared bug (regression since previous versions).
22. Bug fixed : a crash bug due to instability of FTP_synchronize plugin (enhance Docking feature).
23. Bug fixed : getting fonts problem under Chines/Korean/Japanese environment.
24. Bug fixed : wrong File encoding auto-detection problem : binary file is detected as UTF-16 big-endian.
